But on this special day, the music that played over the speakers was something different. Five local bands were chosen and played in fifteen businesses throughout the Philadelphia area—including Northern Liberties, Fishtown, South Philly, and University City. In each of the business there were download cards featuring one song from each of the bands, a descriptive list of the bands and their style of music, an informative card about Loves Local Music Day, and buttons! All free!  At 3 PM, The Extraordinaires played a free set at the Rocket Cat Cafe, along with Sunset Recorder and Zach and the Outside Eyes.
